Will of a Warrior - Kangas Wrestling
Will Of A Warrior - Kangas Wrestling is not a wrestling club or an apparel company it is a Mission. I watched my Dad make a difference in so many lives as I saw him help others constantly. My Dad was my Hero, a Marine, my Coach and my Best Friend
My Dad said to me before passing, "There is always one more to help". He was always making a difference in someone's life and I am going to do the same. I look to make this difference by having my own foundation to help our Youths in Education and Fitness and help strengthen these important pillars for our children to grow on.
So how can I accomplish this Mission of mine? I am a Wrestler and always will be. I grew up in Pennsylvania and started wrestling at age 6 and walked off the mat my senior year in college with a loss at Nationals. In my career I had the opportunity to work with some of the best wrestlers in the world at schools, camps and training facilities such as Fox Catchers.
In 2022 with much help from friends, I started this journey to reach my goal: my Mission to have a foundation. I focus on these two areas because I grew up with a learning disability and my work ethic in wrestling helped me overcome these challenges and become successful in my career. Everyone learns in different ways and from my challenges of learning I believe I can help many get past the frustration of learning.
My starting point was to set out to provide coaching in my own style and make an impact. Make an impact not just by showing moves but also in ways of thinking and approaching life and learning. I talk to the parents and let them understand my goals and why my Mission is important to me. I Talk to the children about Leadership, Perspective and the difference between Losing and Being Beat. I want to provide knowledge and guidance from my lessons learned in life.
I have been holding Wrestling clinics in Florida and look to take it to other states in 2024. I do not charge for my clinics but through Donations and sales of my apparel the money raised go back to our community and support our community in Education and Fitness. In my first year I was able to have a $500 Women's Scholarship and in my 2nd year the goal is to add a Men's Scholarship. These scholarships are additional to the other charities or foundations I give to.
Why Tee Shirts? I love being able to share words of motivation. I have found that I can reach many through my designs and sayings and a tee shirt is like a billboard. I see my shirt while working out, you see it as you train you purchased the shirt for the motivation, Use it to motivate yourself, have the Will Of A Warrior.
With only a few clinics in 2022 and then a monthly summer schedule for 2023 Kangas Wrestling has moved forward and looking to Make A Difference through Wrestling. 2024 we have added mor clinics and also stopping in at local HS practices for special sessions. Let's Go!!!
Thank you for your support,
